Last month, a bipartisan majority in the House passed the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, a nationwide ban on abortion after twenty weeks when medical evidence suggests an unborn child feels pain, a compelling and reasonable abortion restriction that polls consistently show a majority of American's support. The same type of restriction that was recently signed into law after a hard fought and widely publicized special session in Texas.
Now it's time for the Senate to continue the pro-life fight!
Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) has confirmed that he'll be introducing the Senate's version of the pain capable ban. If the past is any indication, abortion activists are going to do their very best to portray this debate as anti-woman, making it absolutely essential for pro-life women in the Senate to get involved.
That is why I urge you to contact your U.S. Senator Deb Fischer and ask her to become an original cosponsor to the Senate's Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act. This act is necessary to put an end to the inhumane practice of aborting pain capable children.
