As you know, a few short weeks ago the U.S. Supreme Court failed to stop the Healthcare takeover-leaving in place its blatant attacks on your religious freedom. The Court's decision--one of the worst in American history--was shocking. FRC and supporters like you must now respond to this elevated crisis with new energy and funding. Your financial partnership is critical to our success.

Our past efforts to expose the abortion funding of Washington's healthcare planners were pivotal in turning the tide against government-run healthcare, forcing Nancy Pelosi to abuse the rules of Congress to promote such misguided policy. Now -- three years later, since the Supreme Court will not intervene, we must intensify our efforts and finish the job.

Our team will remind Congress and the public that Washington-run healthcare is a moral disaster. It is a devastating attack on our religious liberties, our families, and our nation's freedom.

  • We will remind them that current policies will force pro-life Americans to PAY FOR abortions and abortion-inducing drugs. This includes religious employers and individuals. They will have NO CHOICE.
  • We will remind them that this forces Americans to violate their religious consciences by mandating such outrageous funding. One Christian leader has promised that many Christians will go to jail rather than submit to funding something that violates the tenants of their faith.
  • We will remind them that socialized medicine will result in "death panel" rationing of care. The healthcare rationing inevitable in such schemes will target the most "expensive" and vulnerable in our society--the "least of these" (Matthew 25: 40). The unborn. The disabled. The elderly.
  • We will remind them that Washington-run healthcare will be the largest government takeover in U.S. history. The largest welfare expansion of power. The largest tax. And history tells us that when government becomes too big, freedom fades.

The Supreme Court is not the sole reason America is in this mess. The real remedy is not at the courthouse door but in the hearts of the American people expressed in part in voting booths across the country.

Our nation is getting the government it voted for in 2008. We elected the men and women who are in Congress today--if we are not happy with their legislation and regulations, then it is our civic duty in 2012 to do better and vote members in who represent our values.

FRC has been at the forefront of this debate for more than three years. And the forefront is where we will remain, educating and registering voters.

Please let me hear from you today. Through your support at this critical time, you will have a huge personal impact.
