Matt Carpenter
Director of FRC Action
Matt Carpenter serves as the Deputy Director of State & Local Affairs for Family Research Council, where he is responsible for working with state policymakers on legislation relating to life, marriage and family structure, and religious liberty. Under the direction of the Vice President for Government Affairs, Matt works with the Director of State & Local Affairs to provide legislative analysis, craft state strategy, and communicate FRC's public policy vision at the state and local level.
Before joining FRC, Matt worked in Florida Governor Rick Scott's Office of Policy and Budget as a legislative and budget analyst, and on a number of political campaigns at the federal and state level. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from Roanoke College in Virginia. Matt currently lives with his wife and their dog in Virginia.
