Dolce and Gabbana are used to starting trends-not bucking them. Hi, I'm Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. When Dolce & Gabbana went public with their traditional values, people put a new label on them: intolerant! The Italian designers are openly gay-but just as open about their concerns about same-sex parenting. "The only family is the traditional one," Stefano has said. "A child needs a mother and a father." U.S. celebrities have turned on the pair, with a fierce boycott. "I wasn't expecting it," Gabbana told reporters. "[They] preach understanding. [They] preach tolerance. And then you put the knife in? All because someone else doesn't see things your way? Is that supposed to be a democratic way of thinking?" They're learning, as we all have, that there's no room in the Left's debate for both sides. Because on the Left the facts are never in fashion. For more, go to TonyPerkins.com.
