Call your Senators: Urge them to vote YES on these nominations

Hearings and votes are continuing in the Senate at a snail’s pace for President Trump’s cabinet picks. But this week, we’ll finally see movement with several candidates primed for votes: among them are Rick Perry for Secretary of Energy, Ben Carson for Secretary of HUD, and Scott Pruitt for EPA Administrator.

From IRS’ targeting of Conservative organizations, to HHS’ attempt to force private businesses to violate deeply-held religious beliefs or face crippling fines, the last eight years have shown us just important it is to have good leadership in each area of government.

That warm breeze you feel is the collective sigh of relief by the nation’s moms and dads, now that the reckless Obama bathroom mandate has been rescinded. But in counties like Fairfax, will it make a difference? How the market can fix health care

by Ken Blackwell

Ken Blackwell is Senior Fellow for Human Rights and Constitutional Governance at Family Research Council. This article appeared in The Washington Times on February 20, 2017. Foolish government intervention created the unholy healthcare mess Republicans agree that Obamacare has failed and must be repealed. But they can’t agree on the replacement “plan.” The one thing they shouldn’t do is devise another grand scheme like the Obama “plan.” The answer is not a new and better Big Government ... (more)
