Pornography and Sex Trafficking: Stopping Online Advertisers of Trafficking Victims with the SAVE Act

Join Congresswoman Ann Wagner, U.S. Representative for Missouri's Second Congressional District and Cathy Ruse, Senior Fellow for Legal Studies, for a discussion of how the demand for online pornography contributes to the advertisement and exploitation of sex trafficking victims. Congresswoman Wagner, a freshman member of the House Financial Services Committee, has worked with the House Republican Task force on Human Trafficking in the 113th Congress and will discuss how the SAVE Act targets bad actors advertising trafficking victims online. Mrs. Ruse, who has previously served as Chief Counsel to the Constitution Subcommittee in the House of Representatives and as Legal Counsel for the National Law Center for Children and Families, will give an overview of current efforts to restrict online pornography.

Representative Ann Wagner was elected to office in 2012 and represents Missouri's 2nd District.

Cathy Ruse serves as FRC's Senior Fellow for Legal Studies
