Kelly Marcum is the Office Coordinator for Government Affairs at Family Research Council, where she also tracks legislation on abstinence education and human trafficking. She received her B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, where she was active in the pro-life movement and efforts to defend traditional marriage. She also attended King’s College London (KCL) and received her M.A. in Terrorism, Security and Society from the War Studies Department. At KCL her research explored the intersection of religious expression in the public square and U.S. counterterrorism strategy post-9/11.
After returning stateside from London, Kelly joined NewBostonPost, a conservative media outlet in Boston, working first as a journalist and later serving the company as Chief Operating Officer as well as a columnist on social and foreign policy issues.
In 2017 Kelly, who grew up in Maine, left her beloved New England and returned with her husband to the D.C. area to join the team at FRC.
