WASHINGTON, D.C. --  Family Research Council (FRC) launched a second social media ad campaign today across North Carolina that questions President Obama’s priorities after five federal departments began investigating North Carolina’s repeal of a Charlotte bathroom ordinance.    The investigations and the President’s fixation on North Carolina’s bathroom law come at a time of growing national and international security threats.

Last week, FRC launched a similar social media campaign that calls out the hypocrisy of corporations that are boycotting North Carolina while continuing to do business in countries where homosexual behavior is illegal and in some cases even punishable by death.  Last week’s video campaign has reached more than one million social media users in North Carolina.

“It’s absurd that President Obama is directing the investigative power of five federal departments to investigate the repeal of a law that punishes businesses for having restrooms designated for men only and women only,” said Family Research Council President Tony Perkins.

The new ad points out the hypocrisy of the Obama administration on the bathroom facility free-for-all.

“The White House press office has been cranking out negative statement after negative statement on the bathroom issue.   But if President Obama truly wanted to, he could issue an executive order bringing this kind of bathroom chaos to every federal agency and national park in America.  However, he hasn't because he knows how unpopular it would be. If there is one thing this president knows, it's politics -- and clearly he understands how devastating a bathroom free-for-all would be for his party in this year's election,” concluded Perkins.

Transcript of “Obama’s Priorities” Ad:

“You may have seen that President Obama was across the pond in England… apologizing for the new North Carolina law that keeps the government from punishing businesses for having bathrooms designated for men and women only.

“And back here in the states, he’s devoted five federal departments to investigate North Carolina with the threat of pulling federal funding from the state.

“Doesn’t he have better things to do?

“So… While ISIS is infiltrating America……President Obama seems confused about human biology.  While Russia taunts our military……President Obama is fighting for men to access to women’s locker rooms.  While Iran and North Korea fire ballistic missiles……President Obama is demanding grown men have the right to use women’s bathrooms.

“Who knows what’s next?  President Obama could issue an executive order wiping out single gendered bathrooms in national parks… or in federal buildings… or tell the TSA to stop requiring those who fly to declare their biological sex.  It’s absurd.

“So, instead of protecting our country… President Obama would rather defy common sense and pander to radical activists.

“Choose safety over social engineering,” concluded the narrator.
