Family Research Council to Host Webcast Lecture on Combating Secularism in the Public Square
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, October 30, Family Research Council (FRC) will host a webcast lecture at noon Eastern on the challenges that a secular society poses to the Christian faith, and the opportunities Christians have to emulate Christ under such circumstances.
Larry Taunton, a freelance columnist and author, as well as the founder and executive director of the Fixed Point Foundation, will speak at this live lunchtime lecture, entitled "Stand and Shine: Combating Secularism in the Public Square."
In addition to his published articles in The Atlantic, USA Today and The Blaze, Taunton is a frequent television and radio talk show guest, appearing on CNN, CNN International, Fox News, and BBC. He has been quoted by Rush Limbaugh, The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, TIME, Vanity Fair, and NPR, among others. Taunton's book, The Grace Effect, offers a glimpse of what the world would look like without Christian influence. As a Christian apologist, Taunton has engaged some of the world's most vociferous critics of the Christian faith, including atheists Christopher Hitchens and Richard Dawkins.
A complimentary lunch will be served at FRC's Washington, D.C. location for in-person attendees.
