WASHINGTON, D.C. – TOMORROW, Family Research Council's Arina Grossu, Director of the Center for Human Dignity, will join other local and national pro-life leaders to speak at a press conference in front of a late-term abortion facility in Bethesda, Maryland, that just opened this week. According to Operation Rescue, Carhart is operating his new facility without a required facility license. Carhart has a history of endangering women’s health and safety. In the seven years of conducting late-term abortions at his former facility in Germantown, Maryland, at least ten women were rushed to hospital emergency rooms by ambulance suffering from life-threatening complications as a result of the risky abortion procedures he performed on them. Twenty-nine year old Jennifer Morbelli died from complications in 2013 following the abortion procedure in Carhart’s office of her 33-week gestation baby girl, Madison. Various representatives will speak about the danger that Carhart is to the community and the need for passage of the 20 week pain ban to end barbaric late-term abortions.
