Resolved to End Genocide

Resolved to End Genocide

April 25, 2016

It literally took an act of Congress to get Secretary of State John Kerry to designate ISIS's ongoing brutality against Christians, Yezidis, and other religious minorities in the Middle East as genocide. This declaration would likely have not happened had Congressman Jeff Fortenberry (R-Nebr.) not succeeded in passing a bipartisan resolution 393-0 calling for the administration to act. This rare bipartisan support reflects the universal desire in Congress to see the Obama administration act to end ISIS's atrocities. Join us for a live webcast on Thursday, April 28 at 12:00 noon as Congressman Fortenberry, co-chair of the Caucus on Religious Minorities in the Middle East, speaks on the genocide resolution and related matters of international religious liberty.

Since 2005, Jeff Fortenberry has represented Nebraska's First Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. He is a member of the House Appropriations Committee and serves on three subcommittees with importance for our national and economic security: Energy and Water, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and State and Foreign Operations. Additionally, Jeff serves as co-chair of the Nuclear Security Working Group, and co-chair of the Congressional Study Group on Europe.

Register to attend or view online, at no charge, today. Also, be sure to watch FRC's recent panel on international religious liberty, featuring some of the leading experts on defending the persecuted around the world.
