FRC on the Road

FRC on the Road

September 15, 2017

Family Research Council may be headquartered in Washington, D.C., but we travel well too! Who knows? We may be in your neck of the woods before long. Below is a brief sampler of some of our upcoming engagements throughout the country.

FRC is a part of Truth Conference 2017 that takes place tonight and tomorrow at my home church, Greenwell Springs Baptist Church where I'll be speaking along with Lauren Green, Chief Religion Correspondent at Fox News, Dr. Frank Turek, Alex McFarland, Abraham Hamilton III of AFA and others. Next week I'll be in Dallas to join Marcus and Joni Lamb at DayStar and then FRC will have events in Tucson and Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Church Ministries team is also on the road, connecting with and equipping pastors all over the nation. Randy Wilson, National Field Director, teamed with Michael Hirsch, our Bold Advance pastor outreach representative for Virginia's Tidewater region, to encourage and equip pastors to promote voter registration, education, and mobilization ahead of their elections this November. Dean Nelson, who heads our ministry to African American pastors and churches is speaking at the "Own Your Own Liberty" event at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, where Watchmen on the Wall will be a co-sponsor and pastors are encouraged to participate. Dr. Kenyn Cureton, VP for Church Ministries is teaming with John Mendez, National CIT Coordinator, and Bruce Lau, Regional Director, to speak to a group of Hispanic/Latino Pastors in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Finally, on September 26, Travis Weber, FRC's director for the Center for Religious Liberty, will travel to my home state of Louisiana to speak at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Travis will participate in the Institute for Faith and the Public Square's event, Rights and Sexuality: Where Individual Freedoms and Civil Rights Meet, where he'll interact with scholars from the Left and Right. Look for us on the road!
