Grace Evans may be 11, but she understands more about marriage than President Obama ever will. Hello, I'm Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council in Washington. The media says the younger generation doesn't care about natural marriage. Tell that to Grace Evans. When Minnesota debated same-sex "marriage" last week, Grace asked to testify. "If you change the law so two moms or two dads can get married, it would take away something very important for children like me... My mom is my role model on how to be a girl..." Grace explained. "My dad is also important... because he protects me... [and] takes care of me in a way my mom cannot... [so] which parent do I not need--my mom or my dad?" She looked into the eyes of leaders three times her age and asked again. No one answered. Maybe because a little girl just pointed out what some adults can't see: that children deserve a mom and dad. And when they're raised to be as courageous as Grace, it's easy to see why.
