In the new "Adventures of Superman," the real hero may be the one writing the story! Hello, I'm Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. Orson Scott Card is an award-winning writer. He's also an advocate of natural marriage--and as far as some Superman fans are concerned, that makes him the villain. When gay activists found out that DC Comics hired Card for its new project, they demanded his head. One website started a petition to have Card fired--just because he holds different beliefs than theirs. Fortunately, DC Comics stood by their guy. "As content creators we steadfastly support freedom of expression... [T]he personal views of individuals associated with DC Comics are just that--personal views..." First, homosexual activists said conservatives should be silent on marriage. Now they shouldn't even be employed? That's how extreme the opposition is. Nothing is more un-American than targeting people who think differently for punishment. But I suppose if the Left got its way, even Superman would be super intolerant!
