The cloners are at it again! Hello, I'm Tony Perkins with the Family Research Council in Washington. Most people don't even realize that human cloning's already happening. Over the last 14 months, there have been three published successes at creating human embryo clones in the lab. In each case, the clones were killed after a few days and their cells put in petri dishes for experiments. While the cloners claim they only want to develop treatments for disease with embryonic stem cells, those treatments already exist using ADULT stem cells. Instead, the cloners' success brings birth of cloned babies even closer. And now those same cloners are asking the FDA for permission to create 3-parent embryos using similar cloning techniques. How can we stop it? Dr. Andy Harris, Congressman from Maryland, has a bipartisan bill that would prohibit ALL human cloning, no matter the purpose. Dr. Harris teamed up with FRC's Dr. David Prentice last week for an important policy lecture that explains the real facts about human cloning. You can view a copy of their webcast by going to FRC.org/events.
