Conservative states aren't just saving lives--they're setting records! Hello, I'm Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. The Skype's the limit for abortion in North Carolina. That's just one of the measures the Tar Heels passed to make 2013 a banner year for pro-life laws. Last month, state legislature gave the green light to a budget that'll guarantee better protection for women and children. Rolled into the package are bans on "Skype" (or telemed) abortions, sex-selection abortions, and abortion funding in the ObamaCare. State legislators also beefed up its informed consent law for abortion and strengthened conscience protections for health care workers. "This is one of the most significant life-saving measures to pass [North Carolina] in decades," said the FPC. With this bill, the states have passed 70 pro-life bills this year--the second most in modern history. Congratulations to North Carolina conservatives for fighting to get this bill out of committee and into the hands of state leaders who were ready to protect life!
