Is The Left's anti-bullying campaign making things better, or actually making things worse. Hello, this is Tony Perkins with the Family Research Council in Washington.
A criminologist at the University of Texas at Arlington says the data from over 7,000 students involved in cases of bullying, representing all 50 states, suggest the wave of anti-bullying campaigns that have hit the schools are not only failing to curb bullying activity, it may actually be making the anti-social behavior more prevalent. This researcher puts forth a similar theory to those who have pointed out problems with comprehensive sex education, it simply enhances the curiosity of kids and/or makes them more proficient in the activity they are being instructed to avoid. There is also an underlying flaw in these programs, which is the product of a worldview that refuses to acknowledge man's fallen nature. The advocates of these programs argue that it is all about their environment and miss the heart and soul of the problem.
