Happy New Year! Hello, I'm Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. It's not just a new day -- it's a new year for our nation. I pray that as we stand at the threshold of a new chapter in our country's history, that the year 2014 will be a time of rebuilding and hope. That we won't look behind with frustration, but forward with expectation. I believe God has given us this rich land for a purpose. This New Year's, our resolution is standing for the principles that make that nation great -- faith, family, and freedom. Lately, we seem to be overwhelmed by bad news. But this is a day for renewal -- and it only seems right to recognize that for all the trouble we face, we live in the most blessed times in human history. As we count our blessings, let's remember -- no matter who's in the White House or what odds we face, we can all make America -- and the world -- a better place. May God bless you in 2014, and God bless America.
