Should Congress march to the beat of the President's war drum? Hello, this is Tony Perkins with the Family Research Council in Washington. Spending last week trying to convince international leaders to support his military intervention in Syria, President Obama turns to Capitol Hill this week. What are the specific goals and objectives of this military action? What does success look like? Thus far, the White House has failed to answer these questions. In fact, I am not sure they can. There is no question that President Assad is a bad actor, but the cast of characters who would benefit from U.S. intervention pose an even greater risk to Christians and other non-Muslims living in Syria. Under the Obama administration's flawed foreign policy, life for Christians in Egypt, Libya, Syria and the Middle East in general has at best become intolerable and at worst, life has come to an end for many. Additionally, our military under President Obama has become entangled in his war on natural marriage, traditional values and religious freedom. This war of the President's seriously jeopardizes our military's true mission to fight and win wars -- against enemies of freedom.
