In Texas, one judge is taking the "home" out of homeschooling. Hello, I'm Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. In some states, helping at-risk kids will win you awards. In Dallas, it'll land you in court. Trevor and Christina Tutt found that out the hard way. Last fall, the Christian couple came under fire by Child Protective Services -- not for abuse or neglect, but for homeschooling! Although a caseworker said there was "no problem" in the Tutts' home, she insisted, "Nobody in their right mind would want to stay home all day with so many children!" She ordered Christina to take parenting classes and a psychological exam. Although paperwork showed she was fit to teach, a local judge removed their children from the home for being "brainwashed" by their Christian parents. The Tutts appealed -- and won. A second judge overturned the ruling, and blamed -- not the parents -- but homeschooling intolerance! Thank goodness -- because Texas had done a serious wrong to parents' rights!
