With the recent government shutdown, Washington, D.C. has become a literal ghost town. However, not everyone is singing the praises of the stalemate between President Obama, Harry Reid, and the Republicans. Hello, this is Tony Perkins with the Family Research Council in Washington. In the wee hours of the morning last Monday, many government employees found out that they were going to be furloughed until Congress could come to a solution on funding the government. With the back and forth between both parties in both the House and Senate, there was no solution to be found. The debate continues. Meanwhile, President Barack Obama has decided to place barricades in front of national monuments, place the roadblocks in front of National Parks, and even ensured that a privately funded former President's home was barricaded from visitors. That home was Mount Vernon, home of the First President, George Washington. Perhaps, President Obama should take a page on true leadership from the nation's Founding Father and work with both the House and Senate to address the issue of passing a common sense budget, and one that would strip funding Obamacare.
