The four hundredth anniversary of the arrival of the Pilgrims will soon be upon us in 2020. The Pilgrims have had little notice for decades, comprising only footnotes in most history books. Yet the Pilgrims came as a church transplant from Holland and England, and their practice of self-government became the cornerstone of American constitutional law. They were never numerous, wealthy, or dominant, yet the ideas they embraced, drawn from the Scriptures, gave rise to a nation that respected liberty and was built on the rule of law.

How could a small church of less than 75, half of whom died the first winter, influence the rise of such a nation as the United States? Other than the Lord, the Pilgrims accredited their Pastor, John Robinson, with their subsequent success.

Join Dr. Paul Jehle as he highlights the qualities of what Pastor Robinson preached and taught, and though he never came to these shores, how the Pilgrim church in Plymouth lived out Robinson's teachings in such a way so that his legacy might be known as the Shepherd of America.

Dr. Paul Jehle is the Executive Director of the Plymouth Rock Foundation and the Senior Pastor of The New Testament Church, which are located in Plymouth, Mass.  Paul was introduced to the Plymouth Rock Foundation in 1975 and became the organization's third Executive Director in 2006. The foundation's mission is to preserve and spread the Pilgrim story and America's rich Christian heritage.

One of Dr. Jehle's passions is educating the next generation. He founded the New Testament Christian School in 1980, which offers a Christian tutorial education from grades K-12. He has researched and written high school courses on constitutional law, world history, American foreign policy and free market economics. Paul has also conducted over 400 seminars on topics such as church leadership, history, government, education, political statesmanship, and youth ministry.

Dr. Jehle received his masters and doctorate degree in education from Whitefield Theological Seminary in Lakeland, Fla. Paul and his wife, Charlene, live in Plymouth, Mass. and have two adult children and four grandchildren.
