Marriage matters for our society because it is the institution that brings together a man and a woman to be father and mother to their children. At FRC, we believe that marriage matters because children matter, and we are proud to stand on behalf of the millions of Americans who share that belief. The March for Marriage offers you the opportunity to join with us in standing in support of natural marriage.
You can find more information about the March at www.MarriageMarch.org.
As a sponsor of this event, FRC will be partnering with other pro-family organizations to affirm the public importance of the institution of marriage. Not only will the March for Marriage celebrate the positive good of marriage, it will also underscore the fact that support for natural marriage continues even in the face of a hostile judiciary and liberal media.
We know that the fight over the definition of marriage is not over, despite recent media celebration of judicial activism. Just last week, new polling came out showing a majority of Americans still oppose redefining marriage-a reality contrary to the notion that same-sex unions inevitably will be accepted as marriage. Because a national debate over what marriage is and should be is still occurring, it's all the more important that we boldly and winsomely stand for the importance of marriage.
Consider joining us in Washington on June 19th and help us make a difference for this truly noble cause.
