This week, a new and more conservative Congress took office on Capitol Hill. With you, FRC looks forward to a House and a Senate more actively committed to advancing faith, family and freedom than in previous years.
Also this week, our friends at the worldwide anti-persecution ministry Open Doors released its annual “World Watch List,” which details the top 50 countries where Christians are persecuted. The report is difficult to read. But that it is hard reading makes it all the more imperative: Those suffering for the Name above all names deserve our prayer and active support, and Open Doors gives sage and practical counsel about what each of us can to do help the persecuted church.
FRC President Tony Perkins earlier this week interviewed Open Doors President Dr. David Curry to talk about what’s happening to Christian believers in nations around the world. Listen and learn – and then act.
Whether in the halls of Congress or the cells of persecuted, FRC is honored to stand with the men and women whose commitment to human dignity and liberty will not bend. And we’re thankful to stand in partnership with each of you to the same end.
Sincerely,
Rob Schwarzwalder
Senior Vice-President
Family Research Council
P.S. Be sure to watch FRC’s Senior Fellow for Family Empowerment, the Hon. Ken Blackwell, explain on “Meet the Press” how the “Obama boom” is really an economic bust.
