WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Family Research Council President Tony Perkins is pleased to announce today that Shannon Royce has joined Family Research Council as its Chief of Staff and Chief Operating Officer. In this role, she will oversee day-to-day operations including policy, government affairs, church ministries, finance, development, communications, human resources, facilities, information technology, constituent communications and services.

"I have worked with Shannon for more than a decade in various capacities, and know her to be a leader whose combination of strength, compassion, and vision will prove to be of exceptional benefit as she manages our internal operations.”
Perkins continued, “Shannon has a proven track record of executing. Her experience, both on and off Capitol Hill, combined with her tireless work ethic and devotion to the welfare of others, will greatly enhance FRC's effectiveness and impact in Washington and beyond."
Prior to FRC, Shannon served in various pro-family organizations as a public policy advocate. Among her experiences were the privilege to serve as the founding Executive Director of the Arlington Group, a pro-family coalition, and as Director of Public Policy and Legislative Counsel for the Southern Baptist Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. Prior to her work with the Southern Baptist Convention, she served two U.S. Senators as a policy advisor and counsel. She earned her Juris Doctorate from George Washington University and is licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
