Rubio, Carson, Cruz, Graham, Huckabee, Jindal, Santorum Set to Speak
WASHINGTON, D.C. – This weekend’s 10th annual gathering of the Values Voter Summit will feature addresses by 2016 presidential candidates to thousands of grassroots activists from around the country.
Confirmed presidential candidates include: Dr. Ben Carson, Sen. Ted Cruz, Sen. Lindsey Graham, Gov. Mike Huckabee, Gov. Bobby Jindal, Sen. Marco Rubio, Sen. Rick Santorum, and 2008 Republican Presidential Nominee Sen. John McCain.
“As thousands of values voters descend on Washington, D.C. this weekend, they'll see first-hand the convergence of moral, fiscal and foreign policy issues that will literally determine our country's future,” said Family Research Council President Tony Perkins.
“The Values Voter Summit is a cross-section of the most engaged grassroots activists, and they are coming to D.C. with a lot of energy and passion about this election. They tell me that they are tired of politics as usual: Republicans who campaign on one thing, and when they get into office, don't deliver. They are tired of compromise and are ready to hear from the candidates about the issues they care about. I believe this weekend will say a lot of about where this very fluid election is heading,” concluded Perkins.
Also, Gov. Scott Walker, Gov. Rick Perry, David and Jason Benham, Dr. Bill Bennett, Gov. Sam Brownback, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, Kentucky County Clerks Kim Davis and Casey Davis, Brigitte Gabriel, Rep. Louie Gohmert, bakers Aaron and Melissa Klein, Mark Levin, Rep. Mark Meadows, Lt. Col. Oliver North, Star Parker, Joel Rosenberg, and House Majority Whip Steve Scalise are among many other speakers to address attendees.
The 10th annual Values Voter Summit will be held from September 25-27 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. FRC Action's Values Voter Summit is cosponsored by AFA Action, American Values, Liberty Institute, Ohio Christian University School of Business and Government, and Family Research Council. An exhibit hall, book signings, radio row, new media row, and much more will be packed into this three-day conference.
On Friday evening, Kentucky County Clerk Kim Davis will be honored with the “Cost of Discipleship” award. Saturday evening’s Faith, Family, and Freedom Gala dinner will honor Media Research Center’s Brent Bozell with the Vision and Leadership Award.
