Weekend Edition - February 17, 2018
On this weekend edition of "Washington Watch with Tony Perkins" Pastor Jeremy Schossau of Metro City Church in Detroit, Michigan, was here to share with us the extreme threats he has received and Michigan state representatives' move to investigate his church for hosting an event for young women struggling with thoughts on identity and sexuality. A parent and pastor from the Cumberland County school district in North Carolina, Craig Autry, who is also a co-founder of Cumberland Protect Our Students, was here to talk about a Cumberland County Board of Education committee vote last week to scrap a Planned Parenthood sex education program. Also, we take a closer look at who is making decisions about education. Tony was joined by Fairfax County Public Schools board member, Elizabeth Schultz, and Capitol Resource Institute president Karen England. Together, they share valuable information that every parent and concerned citizen should know about public education.
