Responsibilities Include:The Regional Director of Development will serve as a staff ambassador for Family Research Council to key supporters within an established territory. The primary function of the Regional Director of Development is to build relationships, communicate the vision, and generate financial support for FRC. In addition, the Regional Director of Development will function as a liaison between FRC and other like-minded organizations. The Regional Director of Development will work under the leadership of the Senior Director of Development, the Vice President for Development and the Senior Vice President, and work in conjunction with the other Vice Presidents to carry out the mission of the Family Research Council. The primary functions of this position will be to initiate and cultivate relationships with the specified caseload of current donors and prospects. The successful candidate must also maintain up-to-date knowledge of family issues addressed by FRC to share with donors; plan, organize, staff, and facilitate local and regional major donor events.
Minimum Requirements: The successful candidate in this position will have a bachelor’s degree and five years related work experience in fundraising, sales, counseling, or other related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate must be committed to a traditional Judeo-Christian worldview and accompanying values. Skills essential to success in this position include experience in public speaking, ability to maintain high levels of personal productivity with limited direct supervision, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds, including individuals of affluence and influence. The ideal Assistant to the President will also be proficient in use of Windows and Microsoft Office; be a self–starter; be highly motivated, results oriented, and a team player. The successful candidate must also have a verifiable record of accomplishment in managing all relationships with integrity and reliability.
It is important to note the following:
- The successful candidate must establish and maintain a field office (home office or otherwise), as approved.
- The incumbent in this position will travel approximately 37% of the time.
