This Video Producer will play an integral role in the definition and execution of FRC’s video experience to bring a wide variety of programming to reach both existing and potential audiences. The person in this position will work with the Brand Advancement team to develop and produce videos that reflect FRC’s mission and vision for a variety of platforms. Finished products will be published on social media, shown at large-scale events, and on television. Most production will be short-form, but occasional long-form opportunities arise. A few examples of the types of videos we use are short issue videos, news programming, “viral videos,” and live streaming video. The person who gets this position will see it as a welcome challenge to take difficult issue topics and translate them into compelling video that viewers can’t help but share with others.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for video needs in the organization; to include recording, editing, and posting FRC events to various platforms. The Video Producer is also responsible for special video projects as they are developed and helps develop new ways to get FRC’s messages out. The successful candidate will also assist in the facilitation of the daily activities of the Brand Advancement Department as directed.
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate for this position should have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Video Production, or related field and at least 2 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of training and directly related work experience. Success in this position requires strong organizational and administrative skills, excellent written and oral communication skills are also required. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and experience with Excel is preferred. Preference will be given to applicants with related media experience and knowledge of pro-family policy issues. Experience in producing, recording, and editing video programs is ideal. Expert knowledge of video editing software such as Final Cut, Premiere, and After Effects, and studio equipment is essential. The Video Producer must have proven ability to work quickly under pressure in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment. Attention to detail and pride in high-quality execution of work is expected. Enthusiastic and energetic team player who is excited about the possibilities afforded by new technologies is also required. The video editor must have a creative flair and unrivaled capacity for mind-numbing detail.
Technical Requirements Include:
¨ Fluent in web and social media practices including knowledge of downloadable and streaming media (Facebook Live, YouTube, other online video platforms, etc.)
¨ Familiar with all prevailing digital video formats
¨ Familiar with nonlinear editing systems, video editing software (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, After Effects), compression technologies
¨ Must have a thorough understanding of television and video production
