WASHINGTON, D.C. – Next week, House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows and Republican Study Committee Chairman Mark Walker (R-N.C.) will address the 15th annual Watchmen on the Wall briefing, an annual conference sponsored by Family Research Council that draws hundreds of pastors to the nation's capital.
The mission of FRC’s Watchmen on the Wall is to “champion pastors to transform America.” The goal is to raise up spiritual leaders who will become “Watchmen” along the lines of Isaiah 62:6-7 – pastors who will watch what is going on in the culture, pray for the wisdom to engage biblically, courageously and winsomely, sound the alarm from the pulpit at the threats to faith, family and freedom, and lock arms in partnership with like-minded pastors in their communities to make a positive salt and light difference.
On the second day of the briefing Rep. Meadows will deliver a message from the U.S. House of Representatives and Rep. Walker will share a word on the topic of “unity” at a session titled “While it is Day… Unite.” This year’s Watchman on the Wall Briefing will feature other notable North Carolinians including the Benham brothers and Bishop Larry Jackson, who will address pastors who exercise substantial influence in their churches and discuss how they can be difference makers.
