Commentary

December 19, 2014

We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal. Hello, this is Tony Perkins with the Family Research Council in Washington. The Declaration of Independence acknowledges truth that is beyond man or government - it is self-evident truth rooted in nature or creation itself. America rests upon the acknowledgment and understanding of this transcendent truth. Transcendent truth stands in contrast to the moral relativism of our day which says there are no absolutes. The logical rejection of absolutes leads to an illogical conclusion as is being evidenced in schools around that nation. Recently the Minnesota athletic league voted for a "transgender inclusivity" policy that erases the lines of gender in high school sports, allowing males who identify as girls to petition to play on a girls team and visa-versa. This would include using the same locker room and showers etc. Any school caught being insensitive to the request could be slapped with a lawsuit. We've come to a point that we deny the self evident, because we've denied the creator. It is time America return to God. For more go to Tonyperkins.com
