The Government Affairs (GA) division is Family Research Council's voice on Capitol Hill, to the Administration and to state legislatures where we work closely with state organizations such as the Family Policy Councils and with state legislators. The staff is responsible for all legislative issues as well as coalition work and frequent strategy meetings pertaining to issues affecting the family. GA also sees it as its responsibility to coordinate strategies relating to actions between the Executive and Legislative branches, especially within federal agencies. We are on the front lines in the battle for the American family, providing the leadership and expertise that are needed on Capitol Hill to defend the sanctity of life, the family, and a culture of faith and freedom. With an increased presence across the nation, FRC is a respected voice that legislators from both sides of the aisle turn to during debates on stem cells, marriage, judges, religious liberty, and other issues important to the family. Our legislative allies rely heavily on FRC's experience in the fight for the principles of faith and freedom without compromise, and our adversaries listen carefully to our arguments, knowing that FRC is a main participant in the battle of ideas and policies. |
