Tell your state representative to vote YES to block #SellingBabybBodyParts

Greetings from FRC Action!

Last summer, Americans were horrified to watch undercover videos of Planned Parenthood and its allies apparently selling baby body parts. Your state legislature is now moving legislation to address this travesty by banning remuneration for aborted unborn children’s organs or tissue.

We wanted to share the following information with you from our friends at Michigan Right to Life. If you have previously received this message, please simply disregard this second contact. We did, however, want to make certain that you, your friends, and your neighbors would be aware of this very critical information.

HOUSE COMMITTEE TO MOVE FETAL ORGAN SELLING BAN – CALLS/EMAILS TO LANSING NEEDED!

Before the Thanksgiving holiday we sent out the alert to begin calls to state representatives in Lansing regarding Senate Bills 564 & 565 that would prohibit any money being provided to abortionists for supplying the organs and tissue of aborted babies. As we learned from the Center for Medical Progress videos, the federal law banning the sale of organs and tissues has a loophole allowing the payment of “procurement fees” to abortionists. That loophole became the opening for selling organs and tissue.

SB 564-565 will put into Michigan law that no money – in fact nothing of any financial value ... (more)

Stand with "Fixer Upper" Pastor

Click here to sign the petitionHGTV’s "Fixer Upper" stars Chip and Joanna Gaines are under attack by media outlets because of one astonishing fact: their pastor preaches the Bible . The Texas couple has for the last few years charmed their way into America’s hearts with their talent, their genuine relationship, and their outspoken Christian faith.

Far-Left extremists have “uncovered” a sermon the Gaines' pastor, Jimmy Seibert, preached about marriage and sexuality. "If someone were to say, 'Marriage is defined in a different way,' let me just say: They are wrong," Seibert said. "God defined marriage, not you and I. God defined masculine and feminine, male and female, not you and I."

That’s why pastors who preach biblical truth with courage and clarity are so important. Pastor Jimmy Seibert preached the Bible’s truth about marriage in a sermon last year, and its truth is still reverberating today. Please join me in signing our petition to stand with Pastor Seibert as he and his congregation come under fire from the media.

Q&A on the Abortion Facility Regulations Decision

by Family Research Council

What does Texas’ H.B. 2 law say? This basic, commonsense law required that 1) abortion facilities be held to the same standard as ambulatory surgical centers and that 2) abortionists must have admitting privileges at a local hospital not further than thirty miles from the abortion facility. These regulations protected women from lax abortion industry safety standards by requiring that abortion centers meet necessary health and safety standards, including the presence of trained staff, corridors that could accommodate stretchers in ... Families, Churches, and Crime Prevention

by Mr. J. Kenneth Blackwell

Ken Blackwell is Senior Fellow for Human Rights and Constitutional Governance at Family Research Council. This article appeared in The Heritage Foundation's 2016 Index of Culture and Opportunity. Politicians often argue that the solution to reducing crime is more government programs or building bigger jails. Yet government cannot adequately address the underlying problems of criminal behavior or fill the holes in people’s lives. What families need more than government programs are married fathers and mothers together in the home ... (more)

What a Trump Court Would Mean for Abortion

by Cathy Ruse

Cathy Ruse is Senior Fellow for Legal Studies at Family Research Council. This article appeared in The Daily Signal on November 29, 2016. The pro-life movement in America is stronger, more sophisticated, and younger than anywhere else on the planet. We know how to write legislation and how to get it passed at every level of government. We can bury Capitol Hill in post cards and shut down phone lines. We have learned how to find pro-life candidates, get them elected, and keep them accountable. We have become experts in adoption law and in ... (more)
