It looks like the same people collecting your taxes aren't paying their own! Hello, I'm Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C. Cheating the IRS won't get you a job, but if you're a federal employee, it won't cost you one either! According to the IRS, some 300,000 federal workers still owed $3.5 billion in taxes for 2011. "The very least an individual on the federal payroll can do is pay their taxes," said Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah). He celebrated Tax Day by introducing a bill that would fire government workers with "seriously delinquent" tax debts. That would wipe out plenty of White House staff, says Kevin Glass. As of last year, 36 of the President's executive team owed the IRS a million dollars in back taxes. And these are the people who pull down six-figure salaries! That's outrageous to the average American, who has to work four months just to afford their taxes. It just goes to show that liberals love to raise taxes--but they sure don't like to pay them.
