This week, an undercover video was released by the Center for Medical Progress showing Planned Parenthood’s Senior Director of Medical Services talking happily about the group’s practice of selling the body parts of unborn children. She boasts, “We've been very good at getting heart, lung, (and) liver” of unborn children.
Bear in mind that those organs are primarily derived from unborn babies well along in their development.
This explosive report suggests that Planned Parenthood has engaged in trafficking body parts of babies, and may have violated the law criminalizing partial birth abortion. They may have also violated various laws restricting pain capable abortions.
In 2013, Planned Parenthood performed 327,000 abortions, making it the nation’s largest abortion business. In that same year, this billion dollar plus enterprise received almost half of its revenue from the federal government. And remember, this is an organization already linked to sex trafficking, gender-targeted abortions, unsanitary clinic conditions, multi-million dollar fraud, and sexual abuse cover-ups.
Following this week’s revelations, the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the House Judiciary Committee pledged investigations into Planned Parenthood. Join me in calling both houses of Congress to fully investigate this matter and immediately impose a moratorium on taxpayer dollars going to Planned Parenthood. I urge House Speaker Boehner and Senate Majority Leader McConnell to fully investigate Planned Parenthood’s role in illegal pain-capable abortions, trafficking in body parts of babies, and partial-birth abortions, and to immediately impose a moratorium on taxpayer dollars going to Planned Parenthood, which the evidence strongly suggests has engaged in not only illegal, but immoral activity.
