WASHINGTON, March 16, 2018 – Yesterday, Mississippi Governor Phil Bryant appeared on Washington Watch with Tony Perkins, a national radio show which airs on more than 240 stations across the country and across Mississippi on the American Family Radio Network. On the show, Gov. Phil Bryant discussed how Mississippi is taking pro-life strides in becoming the most pro-life state in the nation with a 15-week abortion ban.

Gov. Bryant shared Mississippi’s efforts to ensure safety for mothers and their unborn children, saying, “We can say we are leading the nation in protecting the unborn. This 15-week ban will be the most protective language for the unborn.” Gov. Bryant went on, “I am so proud to be the governor of this great state... I want to make Mississippi the safest state in America for the unborn.”

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, and host of Washington Watch, added, "Courage breeds courage. As we have recognized you in times past for your courage for standing up for religious freedom. Once again we applaud you and recognize you for your courage and the courage of the lawmakers there in Mississippi to stand up for the unborn.”
