WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) appeared on Washington Watch with Tony Perkins, a national radio show which airs on more than 240 stations across the country. As a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Sen. Graham offered remarks during the opening day of the confirmation hearing for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. He joined the show with highlights from the hearing.

Senator Graham commented, “[Judge Brett Kavanaugh] is a fine man who is going to be confirmed. He is exactly who you’d expect a Republican president to pick. He’s the greatest mind of his generation, legally… What you should do is pick a judge who will look at a case and controversy and apply the law to it – that’s what Kavanaugh will do.” Sen. Graham continued, “We’re in a land of partisanship. ‘Advise and consent’ in the Democratic world means a Republican president can’t choose a qualified conservative.”

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins, and host of Washington Watch, added, "I hope that all of America will take just a moment to see, even if it’s just the highlights of the hearings. I think it shows the desperation of the Left and what they will do to try to take power in this country and how they will use it.”
