Washington, D.C. - On Sunday, October 12, Family Research Council (FRC) and a coalition of Christian organizations will host a live nationwide simulcast called "iPledge Sunday: The Rise of the Church." FRC President Tony Perkins and Lila Rose, Live Action President, will serve as a co-hosts for the simulcast which will feature David Barton, U.S. Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA), Pastor Jim Garlow, Kristan Hawkins, Rick Scarborough, and Mat Staver. Churches and home groups in all 50 states are registered to join this special pre-election simulcast.
The first hour of the simulcast will originate from FRC's Washington D.C. studio while the second hour of the program will originate from a broadcast church in 12 states, including Iowa, Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Oregon, New York, New Mexico, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Illinois, Idaho, and California. Each church will simulcast its service to other churches in their respective states.
"It's time for the church to rise up and take action to turn the tide in our nation. On iPledge Sunday, we will lead Americans in a call to faith, family, and freedom. Never in our history has there been a greater need for engaged, informed Christian citizens to stand up for their biblical values," said Family Research Council President Tony Perkins.
