WASHINGTON, D.C. – Family Research Council’s Travis Weber, Director of the Center for Religious Liberty, will participate as a special advisor and advocate at the World Summit in Defense of Persecuted Christians in Washington, D.C. May 10-13. Organized by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, the summit will gather church leaders, victims of persecution and advocates to discuss and bring awareness to the persecution of Christians around the globe.

Weber made the following comments about the upcoming summit:

"This event is absolutely crucial for our time, when Christians need more than ever to show solidarity with their brothers and sisters suffering around the globe.

“With more than 600 Christian delegates from 130 countries and territories coming to Washington, D.C. for this conference, I expect there will be opportunities not only to find out how we can help those in need, but how we can learn from their incredible suffering in order to model Christian love and charity in the face of our own – albeit less severe – problems here in the United States,” concluded Weber.
