Earlier this week, I had the opportunity to join several conservative friends at Ginni Thomas's second annual Impact Awards in Washington, D.C. The luncheon, which honored "great warriors for their commitment to defend liberty in the face of opposition," was a good reminder of how many courageous people we have in our movement. These are men and women who not only stand up and speak truth -- but who live out those values in their everyday walk.
I shared with the group how refreshing it was to be at an awards ceremony that isn't used as a platform to bash our president and the values of those who voted for him. Instead, I declared how profoundly grateful I am to live in the United States of America and for the policies of the Trump administration that have restored our First Amendment freedoms.
It was especially humbling to be named as one of the Impact Award honorees, alongside fellow leaders Attorney General Ed Meese, Mark Levin, Brent Bozell, Bridgett Wagner, Candace Owens, and so many more. I was grateful to receive the honor on behalf of the dedicated and committed of men and women I'm privileged to lead here at FRC.
