Connor Semelsberger serves as the Legislative Assistant for Family Research Council. Under the Direction of the Vice President for Government Affairs, he works with Members of Congress and federal agencies on life, healthcare, and bioethics issues. Connor's role with the Government Affairs team is to analyze and research important legislation, craft a variety of writing pieces, and collaborate with pro-life leaders on Capitol Hill.
Before landing at FRC, Connor served as a consultant with the Department of Education, where he completed a research project on federal monitoring. He also interned with Congressman Bill Shuster and the Heritage Foundation. Connor received his B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, graduating Phi Beta Kappa and cum laude. He also earned his Masters of Public Policy degree from Maryland, where he specialized in Non-Profit Management and Leadership.
Hailing from Pennsylvania, Connor enjoys traveling, playing basketball, and rooting for his hometown Pittsburgh Steelers.
